All accommodation:-

  • includes a bathroom en-suite
  • is provided on a bed and breakfast basis (except where stated), giving you the flexibility to choose where and when to eat in the evenings.

Evening meals are available in most hotels and inns. For those wishing to eat out we provide advice on the best places to eat within a short walk of your accommodation.

The wide range of cycling and walking routes on offer means that it is not possible to detail all of the accommodation used. We are happy to discuss over the phone or by email the accommodation available for the particular tour that interests you.

An extended holiday or shorter tour
If you would like to add one or more rest days to your holiday or amend a tour in other ways, call us and we'll do our best to oblige.

Transporting your luggage
This service is a key part of making sure you have a really enjoyable, relaxing cycling holiday, travelling light with just the bare essentials - camera, book, picnic etc.

In the morning, we pick up your bags containing anything that you do not need during the day and we'll have them waiting for you by late afternoon at your next night's halt. We've even been known to pick up the odd antique or case of local wine that our customers have bought on their way!

A recommended route is marked onto the maps as are route options which provide shortcuts or detours to visit additional points of interest. For each tour, three daily mileages are listed:

  • Rec - The recommended route for the day.
  • Min - The shortest alternative, but still using quiet lanes through beautiful countryside.
  • Max - Assumes you take the longest option at each decision point along the way.

This gives you the opportunity to decide for yourself how far you wish to cycle each day.

On-road support
You can rest assured that help is on hand should you need it. Throughout your holiday you can contact us by phone between 9am and 5pm.

When you arrive, we'll answer any questions you may have on your itinerary and make sure you set off with confidence. We will spend time adjusting your bicycle to ensure that it is a 'good fit'. We'll also show you how to fix a puncture and cover what to do in the unlikely event of anything more serious occurring.

Comfortable, reliable, quality bikes

The most appropriate type of bike for touring our area is the hybrid tourer, a comfortable bike, more rugged than a road bike, but lighter and faster than a mountain bike. We have a large fleet of modern, quality bikes - most from the top British names of Dawes and Claud Butler. The bikes have easy to use gears (either 18, 21 or 24 speed) `quarter-rise' handle bars and are available with ladies or gents frame.

Discounts are available if you would prefer to bring your own bike. See FAQ for further details.
