From the historic Breckland Heaths to the beautiful North Norfolk coast and on to the famous Broads, this tour takes you on a leisurely journey to the very best of Norfolk.

Day One Arrive at your hotel, just outside Watton, where your bikes will be provided after breakfast the following morning.
Day Two Travelling through Breckland woods and heath, you reach moated Oxburgh Hall, one of the most romantic and picturesque Tudor Great Houses in the country. (Well worth the detour is a visit to Grimes Graves, where you can descend by ladder to the Neolithic flint mines.) On to Cockley Cley, a reconstruction of an Iceni village set along-side a Saxon church and medieval forge. Finally into Swaffham for the night. Its wedged-shaped market place, flanked by graceful 18th century buildings, make Swaffham one of Norfolk's most attractive market towns.
(Rec 22: Min 9: Max: 39 miles.)
Day Three Leaving Swaffham you head out to Castle Acre where you can wander the massive earthworks of the ruined castle in this fascinating medieval walled `town’. The tour takes you through the villages in the heart of Norfolk, to the Norfolk Rural Life Museum or the deserted village of Godwick. On then to the Fakenham area, where you spend the next two nights.
(Rec 33: Min 26: Max 33 miles.)
Day Four Ride out to the medieval pilgrimage centre of Walsingham. On then to Wells-next-the-Sea with its old narrow streets and quay busy with shrimp and whelk boats. Visit the Palladian style mansion of Holkham Hall or cycle on to see the Burnhams, a popular sailing centre also known as `Chelsea on Sea’ before your return to the Fakenham area.
(Options ranging from 19 to 45 miles.)
Day Five Up the coast to Blakeney, an ancient port busy with craft small enough to make the passage up the narrow channel from the sea. From Holt, you can take a steam train to Sheringham through some of the best scenery in Norfolk. Then on to Aylsham for the next two nights.
(Rec 37: Min 28: Max 43 miles.)
Day Six Cycle to Wroxham for a boat trip on the Norfolk Broads. More time can be spent on the water if you (and your bike) take the narrow gauge steam railway back to Aylsham. Alternatively you may wish to spend the day at nearby Blickling Hall.
(Options from 7 to 25 miles.)
Day Seven Cycling along parts of the traffic free Marriots Way, an old railway line, your route follows many peaceful and secluded stretches. You’ll visit the redbrick Jacobean mansion of Blickling Hall and see the fine Georgian buildings in Reepham before reaching Dereham for the night.
(Rec 21: Min 16: Max 23 miles.)
Day Eight A pretty day’s ride as you return to Watton through a myriad of small villages, pasts flint clad churches and windmills. Approaching Wymondham, you have a superb view of the twin towered abbey church, which dominates this town, so full of character.
(Rec 32: Min 16: Max 34 miles.)
