Day One Arrive at Needham Market, explore the area and spend your first night in or near this small market town.

Day Two An excellent day's ride to Debenham, a pretty village with its overhanging houses and antique shops, Saxtead Green' s beautifully restored 18c post mill and into Framlingham. Here you stay the night with time to visit the massive castle in this lovely old market town.

Day Three Your first stop is Shawsgate Vineyard for a spot of wine tasting, then on to Snape Maltings home of the Aldeburgh Festival with its art galleries, craft shops and tea room on the banks of the River Alde. Quiet lanes offer good views over salt marshes, the River Alde and Orford Ness, the nesting site for thousands of sea birds, as you cycle on to Orford, dominated by its impressive castle keep and famed for its oysters and smoked fish.

Day FourToday you may wish to take the short ferry trip to explore the wilds of Orford Ness. Then you have a wide choice as you return to Needham Market including the Tide Mill at Woodbridge and the beautiful gardens and tea-room at Helmingham Hall.
