There is a choice of excellent circular rides exploring the picturesque villages and countryside made famous by John Constable.

Your base on this holiday is the hotel at the Stoke-by-Nayland Club. Here you will find everything you could want to relax and unwind, including a magnificent pool and fitness centre, two golf courses, sauna and steam room and a chance for soothing massage and beauty treatment after the days cycling.

The circular rides: We offer a choice of routes with distances between 9 and 16 miles, with each ride carefully planned to make sure you see the best of the area and that you travel the distance you are most comfortable with. You can splash through the ford at Kersey one of the prettiest of all the Suffolk villages and explore Dedham with its medieval houses, antique shops and craft market. From Dedham, you can also enjoy a riverside stroll to Flatford Mill, the setting for the ‘Haywain’ as well as a number of other of John Constable’s most famous works. All of the routes offer excellent cycling and there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy a good pub lunch, cream tea or both.
