A taste of Suffolk wine, a picturesque working windmill and historic Framlingham castle are some of the highlights of this fascinating tour.

Framlingham Castle

Day One Arrive at Needham Market, explore the area and spend your first night in or near this small market town.

Day Two Head through the lanes to Debenham, a pretty village with its overhanging houses and antique shops, then on to Saxtead Green. Here you can visit the beautifully restored 18c post mill and, perhaps, take refreshment at the inn nearby. A detour to one of the vineyards in the area is well worth the visit. Your night's stop is in the quiet market town of Framlingham where the 12th century castle and church are both superb.
(Rec 22: Min 21: Max 38 miles.)

Day Three Today you'll travel through Easton, home of what was, at one time, the longest 'crinkle-crankle' wall in the world. You can visit Easton Farm Park a model farm with a unique Victorian dairy, walk through the gardens surrounding the fine Elizabethan Helmingham Hall, perhaps stopping for a cream tea, then on back to Needham Market. A detour to Woodbridge with its Tide Mill and many excellent places to eat adds an extra feature to the tour.
(Rec 22: Min 22: Max 32 miles.)
