From Bolzano (Bozen), capital of the German speaking South Tyrol to Verona, this tour offers a taste of two cultures linked by some magnificent countryside. Much of the route uses the dedicated cycle path which follows the River Adige as it flows down through the Dolomites. Elsewhere the route passes through vineyards and orchards and includes a ferry trip along the length of Lake Garda. The route is mostly flat although there are some climbs, the biggest of which can be avoided.

The cycling is largely traffic free and in many places the path runs on both banks of the river, with numerous bike ferries along the way. Don’t worry about missing things however, we recommend the best route for you to follow.There are also many options to skip cycling by hitching rides by train or boat!
