France

 

Chateaux of the Loire - if you have never seen the castles, or chateaux, of the Loire Valley prepare to be astounded by the fairytale palaces with delicate turrets and breath-taking castles reflected in gently-flowing rivers. Also famous for its gentle climate, excellent cuisine and local wines, our circular five and seven night tours give you the chance to explore this fascinating area.

Five Rivers - the Loire is one of five rivers which cross the region, and our five and seven night cycle breaks will let you see them all. This history-packed tour shows you medieval fortress towns, royal forests, chateaux and palaces, and still gives you enough time to relax and savour the delicious cuisine and perhaps a glass of Saumur-Champigny, one of the Loire's great red wines.

Dordogne - surely one of the most picturesque regions of France, the area combines rushing rivers, villages perched on limestone crags, prehistoric cave paintings, medieval towns and castles, and, of course, the world-famous Perigord cuisine. Our seven night circular tour starts and ends in Souillac, and takes in the best cultural, historical, scenic and gastronomic delights that the Dordogne has to offer.

Austria

 

Danube - this classic seven night cycle route is one of the best in Europe, and offers the opportunity to hop on a train or ferry and skip some pedalling while still appreciating the views! Start at Passau, one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, and follow the ancient Danube past monasteries, granite cliffs, pretty flower-bedecked towns, and ruined castles. You'll want to savour the local wines, too, for which the region is famous.

Ten Lakes - this fabulous circular tour takes in the breath-taking mountain scenery of the Austrian Lake District, the Salzkammergut. As well as cycling in relatively easy terrain through picturesque hills and on lakeside paths, you'll also cut through the imposing mountains, taking trains and ferries to access more remote areas. You will travel through UNESCO world heritage sites, visit caves and spa towns, and discover the gorgeous city of Salzburg.

Italy

 

Bolzano to Verona - you will cycle through orchards, vineyards and pass awesome mountains and ancient towns and cities on this wonderful six night cycle tour. Start in the South Tyrol and finish in the amazing city of Verona, following riverside paths and country dykes. You'll be able to experience the delightful old towns of Bolzano, Mantova and Trento and relax as you cruise the length of Lake Garda.

Venice - as well as the more obvious treasures of the unique canal city of Venice, this tour provides the opportunity to explore the lesser known delights of the region by bike and ferry. A mix of island hopping around the lagoon, river and canal side paths and quiet lanes though the undulating Italian countryside, you will visit sleepy villages, medieval spa towns and monasteries and the architectural splendour of Padua.
