This tour is a comfortable cruise on a bike, following the Danube downhill from Passau to Vienna. The cycling is largely traffic free and in many places the path runs on both banks of the river, with options to skip between banks using the numerous bike ferries along the way. Don’t worry about missing things however, we recommend the best route for you to follow. For those with doubts about their energy levels or enthusiasm, there are many options to skip cycling by hitching rides by train or boat!
The hotels are very comfortable (all 4 star). Most hotels have saunas and many have swimming pools. Some hotels also offer the option of a relaxing massage - something else to look forward at the end of the day as well as a cold beer, glass of local wine and a guilt free pastry.

We offer the beauty of the Salzkammergut, the Austrian Lake District, and the enjoyment of relatively easy cycling through stunning, mountainous terrain. Starting and finishing in the wonderful city of Salzburg, the cycling ranges from flat lakeside tracks to quiet country lanes across scenic rolling hills, with train and boats taking the strain.
